STEP 1 – HOW STRESS AFFECTS INTIMACY

You’re right in the middle of a mind-numbing, complex task, and suddenly, you reach overload status. You get up, walk around, rub your eyes, take some deep breaths, and try to shake the stress from your mind and body.

Now you’re preoccupied with thoughts of rest, relaxation, and bed…and that’s when the thought hits you: it’s been a while—too long—since you and your spouse had some intimate time alone in the bedroom. “Wouldn’t it be nice,” you think.

But…

For both of you, daily life is full of activities, meetings, deadlines, school events for the kids, and a hundred other things to get done.

And then there’s still supper to be cooked, dishes piling up, clothes that won’t wash themselves…

Work outside the home? Stay-at-home parent? It doesn’t matter. If you’re like the vast majority of people, you are constantly bombarded with items from your always-full To-Do List.

There are days when you feel strangely like a circus clown, juggling everything at once, just hoping you don’t drop something.

And all of this affects your interactions with your husband or wife. There’s rarely enough zip at the end of the day, and when everything finally shuts down, all you want to do is collapse into bed, hoping for immediate unconsciousness. 

When you’re a young parent, you have to do everything for the kids, and so it seems there’s little time for bedroom intimacy.

But later, when the children are old enough to help with the day-to-day tasks that have you wiped out, you find that age has become a factor in lovemaking. You reach a point where your body doesn’t produce hormones at the same levels it once did; when this happens, intimacy can sometimes be negatively affected.

What can you do?

For every marriage (including yours!) sex is a vital area of life. It’s important to make it a priority. That means saying “no” at times to the screaming demands of schedules and lists, and just making it happen. 

And Essential Oils can be an important part of making it happen.

In this Class, we’ll discuss a variety of Essential Oils that can help encourage intimacy and boost libido. We’ll also discuss many ways you can use those oils.
