STEP 12 – BLENDS FOR INTIMATE PLAY

May 8, 2021

There are hundreds of products on the market today that focus on this area of intimacy, from basic lubricants, to warming or cooling gels, or oils for a silky, sexy feel—whatever you’re looking for, there’s a product out there somewhere.

But many of them are loaded with chemicals with unpronounceable names that just aren’t natural or healthy for your body.

If you don’t know what it is or what it is supposed to do, why would you use it on your body or your spouse’s?

Good news: Essential Oils can provide NATURAL alternatives for intimate play!

SLIP AND SLIDE PERSONAL LUBRICANT RECIPE

• 1/4 c. Fractionated Coconut Oil

• 6–8 drops Essential Oil(s) of choice

Note: Coconut oil can compromise latex – do NOT use with latex condoms.

LIQUID LOVE PERSONAL LUBRICANT RECIPE

• 8 oz. cold water

• 4 tsp. cornstarch

• 6–8 drops Essential Oil(s) of choice

In a saucepan, whisk cornstarch into water. Gradually bring to a boil, whisking often. Once the cornstarch has reached the correct temperature, the starch molecules will lose their structure and the mixture will become thick and viscous—exactly what we want for personal lubrication purposes. Let the mixture cool for a minute or two before adding Essential Oils, then pour into a wide-mouth glass jar for future use. Make sure to completely cool prior to use. Refrigeration is not needed—and not recommended—for this mixture. Store for up to two weeks at room temperature.

Use Peppermint Essential Oil or Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil for a warming/cooling effect when blown on area applied to. But note that Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil is considered a HOT Oil and may require additional carrier oil to reduce skin sensitivity.
